Celebrate the Power of the Arts!
Roberts provides you with opportunities to experience artistic, musical, and cultural programs with your friends and family.
The arts thrive on our campus with students and faculty actively participating in cultural activities both on campus and in the community:
- Musical performances – Orchestra, Chorale, Wind Ensemble, Jazz Ensemble, Women's Choir, Men's Chorus, Gospel Choir, Jazz Combo, and diverse chamber ensembles!
- 12 music faculty members perform with the Rochester Philharmonic Orchestra.
- Speakers, symposiums, presentations, and readings hosted by various departments
Outstanding cultural events have long been a hallmark of Roberts Wesleyan University. The Cultural Life Center's Performing Arts Series brings a full range of professional national and international performers to the students and community each season.
Enjoy a production by our award-winning community theater. The RWCCT production of West Side Story won “Best Local Musical Theater Production of 2015” in CITY Newspaper's Best of Rochester Arts and Entertainment guide.
The Davison Art Gallery is our way to showcase student, alumni, faculty, and local & international artists.
The Roberts Community Music School offers music lessons and classes for all ages and levels of ability.
We provide a series of cross-disciplinary experiences for the college community and the greater surrounding area. Most of these events, including lectures, film screenings, discussions about national issues, and more, are free.
The Roberts Wesleyan University Department of Music and Performing Arts presents over 70 concerts, recitals, operas, and theatre productions each year. View upcoming events at the bottom of our homepage.
